Annie Jr. was a success at BYT!
Team work. It’s something we talk about a lot. We use words like “my team” or “our team” to reference to everyone. At BYT no matter your age (while we take your abilities into account) we treat you all like equal individuals and not like young children.
We allow you to discuss and create WITH us and build a show from the bottom up...with a very low budget.
While we may be done this show, our mission statement of creating young performers and leaders still is in play. We will return sooner than you think. I am planning multiple events through out the year where some of our staff will be coming in as well as new staff members to help grow our program.
The 4 main directors have discussed their desire to return and yes...we have a few ideas for next Summers show.
But for now...rest. Take some time to reflect, and enjoy the videos/ pictures/ FB posts in the coming days of/about you. Message/FaceTime friends, make plans to see each other. Don’t let go of the team.
I will be posting later this month about leadership trainings (for those who were interested in leadership positions) as well as some fun events im planning for next month!
YOU did this, WE did this. Sold out run. Added a show. Day camp. Outdoor show. Raised a great amount of money for our program. Added over 25 people to our “team”. Rehearsed in the hottest days of the year (with masks). THAT is resilience. THAT is what it means to be a BYT member.
So much appreciation and love for everyone involved in this show.

" I had lots of fun doing costumes, and got to learn more about theater and the process of what goes into making a great show. "
"It was so amazing, I made so many great friends and learned so many new things. On top of that during every rehearsal it didn’t feel like work, it was fun!"
Our mission is to provide a fun, educational and memorable theatrical experience, all while also teaching leadership, and teamwork skills.
